Moderator Guide Moderation Updated March 14, 2026

Reviewing progress as a moderator

Work the Review Queue efficiently by checking proof, reassigning tile submissions when needed, and using approve, reject, or reset correctly.

Outcome

After this guide, moderators will know how to process tile and bounty submissions in the Review Queue without breaking board accuracy.

Before you start

  • You need moderator access to the bingo workspace.
  • Players should already be submitting tile or bounty proof.

Step by step

  1. Open the bingo workspace.
  2. Go to Review Queue.
  3. Choose the submission you want to review.
  4. Inspect the image, player name, team name, submission time, and current status.

If the submission is for the wrong tile

  1. Check that the item is a Tile submission, not a bounty.
  2. Use the Tile dropdown in the review panel.
  3. Choose the correct tile before saving your decision.
  4. Continue with approval or rejection once the tile assignment is correct.

Choose the right moderation action

  • Approve when the proof is valid and should count for the team.
  • Reject when the proof is invalid, unclear, or submitted for the wrong result.
  • Reset when you want to move a previously reviewed item back to pending.
  • Approve No Points is available for bounty submissions when you want to approve the submission itself without awarding bounty points.

Best practices

  • Reassign the tile before approving if the player submitted the right proof against the wrong tile.
  • Reject only when the submission should not count at all. If the proof is valid but mapped incorrectly, reassigning is usually faster and clearer for the team.
  • Use the queue regularly during live events so standings do not drift behind the real race.
  • Watch for duplicate submissions from the same team and objective before approving everything in sequence.

Common gotchas

  • Tile reassignment applies to tile submissions. Bounty submissions follow the bounty review path instead.
  • Approved items change the visible board state and standings, so verify the target tile carefully before confirming.
  • Reset is useful when a moderator wants another look later or needs to undo a decision without immediately rejecting the proof.
