Outcome
After this guide, moderators will know how to remove a player from an event and when to do it instead of leaving them unassigned.
Before you start
- Confirm the player should actually be removed from the bingo.
- Check whether the player is on a team and whether moderators need to preserve context for past submissions before removing them.
Step by step
- Open the bingo workspace.
- Go to the All Teams tab where players are listed.
- Find the player you want to remove.
- Open the player action menu.
- Choose Remove from Bingo.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
When removal makes sense
- A player joined by mistake.
- A player dropped out before the event really started.
- A duplicate signup needs to be cleaned up.
- A moderator has decided the player should no longer participate.
- A player has not paid their entry fee by the start time.
Common gotchas
- Removal is different from leaving someone unassigned. An unassigned player is still in the bingo, while a removed player is no longer part of the roster.
- If the player still belongs in the event but needs a different team, move them instead of removing them.
- If the problem is unpaid entry, consider using Mark unpaid first unless your event rules require full removal.
